We know that there are a lot of you out there who don't have any extra money to donate to free software - but there is a FREE way that you can help. How, you ask? Simply come back, and visit NymTec! What happens with the money?

What happens with donations? Usually, they go to cover the costs of hosting NymTec (About $200 annual fees, including our new SSL certificate to give our users peace of mind - please click here for more information), however, we have a new initiative here at NymTec. We would like to be able to sign our applications so that our users can rest assured that the software they are downloading is, in fact, the software that we produce. This can be done with code signing. For more information about code signing, please click here.

Why do we want to sign our applications?

These days, the internet is full of malicious content, including websites and software. One attack vector a malicious agent could use would be to distribute modified software that seems like it is coming from a trusted source, however, it could potentially include any number of threats, including keyloggers, trojans, etc.

How do we combat this?

By siging our code! We would like to be able to offer our freeware that is signed, so that you know, and can trust, that the software you are installing is coming directly from NymTec, and therefore maintains our Mission Statement to provide efficient, clean programs.
