Just a quick update.

Since no one seems to want to donate or pay for any of our apps, WYSIWYG; we're done developing end-user products, at least for now.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the people that have donated to NymTec.com. Our total is now $35.00 CDN. We really appreciate the donations, as we run NymTec.com at a loss right now. All the money from donations is being held in our code signing fund. Once we have enough, we will be able to purchase a code signing certificate so that you know that the freeware you get from NymTec.com is indeed from us, and has not been modified to include other software.

We are hard at work on Alt-Tab Thingy V, and our new .Net Project.

Well, I know it's been a while since I've updated, but here at NymTec, we've been VERY busy this past month, and we're getting MORE WORK!!!

This past month we've made a custom built gaming rig for a local customer (this thing is a MONSTER), and done work with http://www.ciociaroclub.com/ to improve on some custom software for them (the original developers worked in VB6 - it's only been about 12 years since I've done that, and their code was a mess! =P).

I was very pleased to discover this afternoon that our very own Alt-Tab Thingy is featured on gHacks.net

In case you have Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista / 7 Basic, please try a test build that attempts to fix the hotkeys in XP SP3 and restores original previewing of windows in Vista / 7 Basic.

While development of nBRIEF is firing on all cylinders, myself and the team here at NymTec have made some decisions and goals for the project.

First of all, the initial development of nBRIEF will be done on the .NET Platform. Initial Alpha and Beta releases will be made available with a 90 day limited free testing period. The releases will include .Net executables to work WITH the framework, and executables with the framwork BUILT IN.

Once we've nailed down the feature set, and got it bug free the code will be migrated to "native" unmanaged C++, before the last step to assembly.

I've updated the Assembly Introduction section of the assembly programming area. It's still not close to being done, but it's pretty much done the basic assembly instructions... MASM is next!!

Hey everybody, (Is that getting old? =P)

Just wanted to post a few updates...

First off, Steve is on vacation, and madly at work coding the next iteration of Michelle for Windows Vista / 7... Due to complications with XP SP3, we've decided not to implement the latest and greatest desk top replacement for XP (Thanks Microsoft, cause it works fine in XP, XP SP1 & XP SP2, just not XP SP3).

Hey everybody,

I'm diving deep into nBRIEF, the forthcoming commercial software from NymTec.

I'm currently building string libraries, and pounding on the original BRIEF to make sure I have a good port of the original.

I've also contacted Borland to make sure I won't have any legal troubles with them; waiting to get an answer... I've also asked them if I could use the original BRIEF name, I've offered to purchase the rights, if need be.

Anyways, just wanted to post an update (I AM hard at work =P).

I'm very pleased to announce that we are starting development of our first commercial software; nBRIEF (nymtec Basic Reconfigurable Interactive Editing Facility).

Development of ATT V is still in the pipeline, and will be run in parallel to nBRIEF development.

I'd just like to say a special thank you to Michael N Dotson for getting our donation drive off to a start. Work on ATT V is progressing, however I'm quite busy at the moment... I just got back from a camping trip, and I've got a couple of new projects starting.

My plan is to launch into development for ATT V in the oncoming weeks, and hopefully have an early alpha out in a month or so...
